Fall 2007
Uwharrie Vineyards has been running non-stop in 2007. We have received grand reviews in response to our new hand crafted, award winning wines, and of our beautiful facility. We have also been completing our own personal Merlot Wine-Basil-Spice-Marinara Italian Pasta Sauce. We are also in the process of creating a complete bread and cheese collection which will soon be available, so you’ll have to plan a trip to sample the new items soon.
Harvest 2007 is around the corner and we are eagerly at work in the winery getting things ready. We have also been in the full process of finishing our bottling of our 2005 wines and preparing a new blended blush wine to be completed and bottled by the end of Fall 2007.
We have continued to implement our Audubon Sanctuary plan around the vineyard and it’s great to see the wildlife flourish. Over 50 head of deer and 22 wild turkeys have been recorded. We had 96 Eastern Bluebird hatchings in 2006 and are still gathering data for the 2007 nesting season. There’s no time to rest during the coming harvest season, so stop by to say hello if you’re in the area and we look forward to seeing you soon.
